Wow, thanks GEEKED-OUT for making me aware of www.googlism.com! I haven't been this amused by the internet in...ever.

I don't really feel like writing, but I feel like I should. What is this sense of obligation I feel to Diaryland? I think it's guilt. Guilt from thinking about cheating. I've recently been made aware of the existence of a newer, prettier, seemingly easier to use blog place. And I have thought about making the switch. But I was here first. I strayed for a day before. I tried livejournal and was disappointed. Mostly because I'm used to the layout and set-up here. I know how to put pictures on my page. I know how to read the diaries of others. But I've seen this new page in action, and I can't say I'm not impressed and a little intrigued. So I immediately had to post something. "Remember how good we've been to you!", I feel Diaryland taunt. "We're comfortable!" Oh guilt.

So what else? We're moving back east sometime after the lease runs out. How soon will be determined by how quickly we can scrounge travel money together.

I had an interview at REI on Wednesday. It went well enough, but I don't think I got the job. They forgot to ask for my references, so that either means I'm so cool that they don't need confirmation of how awesome I am, or they weren't about to waste their time trying to prove that I'm worthy of employment. It would've been a seasonal position, ending right as we'd be moving. It would've been perfect, outside of the 50-mile commute each way.

My sister is moving to California in October. My sister, one of the most prominent supporters of the "Annie move home NOW!" opinion. She think we should live with her and then then-to-be new husband in Cupertino, CA. I think I laughed out loud at the suggestion. But hey, family in California means I'll have to penetrate the Pacific Ocean at some point.

That's all I can bring myself to sit down for. More soon!
