Bill Irwin is all over syndication these days. And I couldn't be happier. 
So the Pope died. I haven't practiced catholicism in decades, but it's a religion you can't shake. PJPII was Pope as long as I've been alive! Now it's just going to be someone else?! The office has lost clout...you can't have another Pope. I can't at least. It won't count. He won't feel as high and holy. It's going to be like replacement Bo and Luke Duke from now on.
Not that I look to the Pope for anything. Sometimes you'd just randomly remember that he existed, and was judging you. In an okay way though. I always assumed that as far as Popery goes, JPII was pretty cool. I don't think he'd eff-around with telling you you're heading for hell, but he'd do it nicely.
People sure are kicking the bucket this month! Mitch Hedburg, Johnny Cochran, the Pope, Frank Perdue...we're all getting old. It's only going to get sadder and freakier from here on out.
