I'm among the living, and checking my mail today from an INTERNET CAFE. After contemplating the potential shame and embarrassment of conducting internet business in a public place, I finally sucked it up and realized if I don't do it here, then I won't do it anywhere. It helps that Emily isn't more than two feet away, doing the same thing I am.

I wish more was new. I'm working at Northern Sky Toyz now, and can I tell you? There's a whole world of kites and kiting that I never knew existed...and unfortunately now it's my job to become an expert. Daunting? Sho' nuff! But my co-workers are neat, and I live within walking distance (for the time being). We're thinking about moving into the apartment Emily will be vacating in May...more space, $100 a month less than we pay now...but not within walking distance of anything.

I'm drinking chai while I do this!

Today has been something else. I got to sleep in for the first time in many MANY days. Upon waking we spent 45 minutes trying to decide what we were going to do about lunch today. After agreeing on Pizza Hut, we ended up at McDonalds. Not only have they raised their prices, but my meal is gone! Once upon a time the #2 was two cheeseburgers for (9 times out of 10) under $4. Now it's a quarter pounder (formerly #3) and it's $5. While we were inside distending our bellies with greasy meat, someone was outside throwing dairy delights at the driver's side door of my car. At least that's what seemed to have happened. All I know is that there were two Dairy Queen Blizzard cups on the ground, and my door was covered in ice cream. I hate people. Was throwing dessert at other vehicles ever funny? Maybe I'm too old and bitter to remember at this point, but I don't get it. It's raining, so hopefully all evidence of this retarded tagging will be gone in a few hours.

The Boy Who Could Fly was on HBO Family this afternoon. I forgot how awesome that movie was.

I have yet to think of a good April Fools joke to play on anyone. I was thinking about telling my family I was pregnant, but I don't think I could convincingly sell it. Jeremy kept trying to tell me that The Jets were getting back together to promote a new album...but we agreed that if that were true, I'd probably be telling him.
