2004-02-12 - 11:26 p.m. I was playing this game called "Apples to Apples" yesterday (it involves placing assorted proper nouns with one specified adjective). Sparing details, I ended up being the only person in the room who ended up laughing at "the Challenger explosion". I'm a terrible person, I know, but it was so unexpected. So things are less severe. After depressedly (a word? if not, then it is now) getting drunk and cleaning the apartment, the cell phone charger was located. I was able to alert people of my situation and call a garage. I actually have my car back now. Unfortunately I had to leave almost $700 at the garage in exchange. SO much for paying things off! But Shannon picked me up Wednesday a.m. for cleaning, I missed assisting (but I don't get paid for that), and today I had the car to drive to Sanford to baby-sit. So things'll be fine. Jobs and money are so hard! Really! I deserve to win the lottery. As does anyone reading this. Gotta pick Jeremy up. But before I go, on the car ride home I was listening to 102.9 WBLM ("classic rock"), and they played a new Tesla song. It took me about two miles to realize that Tesla was not Nelson. Not a new Nelson song, which mystified me far more than the concept of a new Tesla song. But it was pretty good. It makes me wonder what Matthew and Gunner are up to these days (if any of you are young enough that you have no idea what I'm talking about, find yourselves a copy of "Love and Affection" and you might understand. And there was their flowy golden locks....)
