2003-10-10 - 9:05 p.m. I'm simultaneously chatting with my mother, Jeremy's mother, and watching Queer Eye For the Straight Guy (on NBC! there IS a god!) I'm thinking about dinner...I'm trying to figure out what I can make with the food we have without having to wash the dishes first. So far, nothing. I want macaroni and cheese with red hot dogs cut into it, but the pan is filthy. And the more meals that incorporate red hot dogs, the better. Not just because I love red hots dogs...they're great, don't get me wrong...but we have 7 lbs. of them in our freezer. It's Joel and kate's fault. They had purchased 26 lbs. of red dogs to sell at the Phish concert in Limestone a few months ago. They planned to sell beer & hot dogs. However, something happened, and they didn't get to the concert. Remembering how much I like red hot dogs, Joel called me up and demanded that I take 10 lbs. off his hands. I told him my freezer would accommodate no more than 7 lbs. So 7 lbs. is what I got. (why I didn't come up with a smaller number, I don't know) And having them here makes me not want them. I'm going to Orono with Emily tomorrow to pick up furniture from a friend's apartment. She's bribing me with coffee and "the most expensive doughnut ever made"....and a visit to the Orono Thrift Shop, a place I never found when I lived there, but have always wanted to shop at. She'll be collecting me at 7:45 tomorrow morning. I hope the "most expensive doughnut ever made" isn't jelly-filled.
