I went to Ipswich, MA, today to take an assistant's training class. I'm now qualified to be a "teacher's aide" of sorts at school. Or, I'll be getting paid to be the massage test dummy. And earning a menial wage while I'm at it! It was a cute little town. I think if I was forced to live in Massachusetts I'd live in Ipswich. Or Newbury. It looked quaint.
Yesterday I skipped out on the 2nd half of class to do 67127 loads of laundry, wash dishes, and hang out with Jeremy. Well Jeremy ended up getting called in for 2:30 (an hour after I got home); I didn't realize the dryer at a "start" button (resulting in a washer-full of my wet clothing for 6 hours)...I did wash the dishes. This doesn't make me feel better.
Emily came over last night to tell me about the New Jersey wasteland she got to visit last week (thinking about it, a desolate ghetto is a great place to put a law school. Between dodging gunfire and gang warfare, there's nothing to do other than study law. Very smart!) Emily and Joe are getting married in May. This is the third person I know who will be getting married next year. It's almost sickening. I, however, will not be married anytime soon. Not while weddings cost money at least. Between Jeremy and I, our debt would buy us a lovely 2-bedroom house in the country. Now that I've strayed from my original intent...Emily and I are going to try HOT (aka Bikram's) YOGA Monday night. A few people at school say it's intense and awesome. I'm personally excited to sweat on strangers. Projectile perspiration! I don't think I have appropriate "hot yoga" clothing. I hope it's not a naked thing. Wow that would be uncomfortable.
I get to Target to buy a bridal shower gift for Erin. While there I was forced to buy a box of Pilates. (a small army. with guns. all pointed at my face. they MADE me buy a box-o-pilates)...(Supposedly it's great for the abdomen.) The woman on the front looks like she really loves Pilates.
I need to make business cards. I think I'll do that now.
